Establish links between Anglicans and others whose
work, studies or prayer life addresses international development issues.
Equip the Church to work and witness more effectively
as part of the world movement against poverty, injustice and ecological
degradation.
Encourage governments, multi-lateral institutions
and NGOs to work directly with churches and other faith based communities
and agencies as authentic civil society agents who are often best placed
to deliver services and capacity building to local communities in the developing
world.
Facilitate the sharing of information and best practice
on current community, national and regional development initiatives carried
out by Anglicans, and ecumenical partners.
Create new and pioneering partnerships between Anglican
institutions and international development agencies for service delivery
and institutional capacity building in the global south on issues relating
to education, livelihoods, health-care and post conflict reconstruction.
Work closely on a limited number of geographical areas and specific
topics alongside our Communion wide focus, to develop effective partnerships
and praxis, which can be replicated throughout the Communion.
Triangulate relationships and host round-tables between Anglican, ecumenical
interfaith and secular stakeholders to find innovative and sustainable
approaches to community based development.
