Southwark Diocesan Day of Prayer for Zimbabwe 14th April

For our brothers and sisters in Zimbabwe, the political uncertainty continues and violence and repression increase. Hunger, intimidation, rape and murder are daily realities for the people and the land itself is suffering.

When we ask our friends in Zimbabwe what we can do to help, they tell us to pray.

In the light of the current turmoil, there will be a special Day of Prayer for Zimbabwe at Southwark Cathedral on Saturday April 14th.

Zimbabwe will be the special intention at the Eucharist at 9.15am and there will be prayers said aloud in the Cathedral every hour throughout the day.

You are invited to visit the Cathedral that day, to light a candle and offer your prayer for Gods people in Zimbabwe.

God bless Zimbabwe
protect her children
transform her leaders
heal her communities
and grant her peace.
for Jesus Christs sake. Amen.

If you or people from your parish would like to come to lead one of the hourly prayers, please contact Canon Andrew Nunn Andrew.nunn@southwark.anglican.org. or 020 7367 6727
